Citizen Of The Year
Barbara Remon - begins her retirement
Celebrating 25 years of Community Service
- Board member of the Danvers Community Council
- Manager of the Danvers People to People Food Pantry
- Citizen of the Year - Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce
This year, in lieu of the Citizen of the Year award, a recognition dinner was held January 2018 for Barbara Remon who retired from her 25 plus years of running the Danvers People to People Food Pantry and who served tirelessly on the Board of the Danvers Community Council. Barbara spent countless hours volunteering and helping those most in need. The commitment and caring demonstrated by Barbara will always be appreciated by a grateful town of Danvers.
The Citizen of the Year award is given each year to a Danvers resident who has significantly contributed in a voluntary capacity toward the benefit of the community and its citizens. In addition, a business or other organization is recognized with an Outstanding Service to our Community award. It is a way to honor and recognize those who serve the Danvers Community.
The Citizen of the Year award will return in the Spring of 2019.
